About Us
The origins of the band date back to 1985 where a group of musicians gathered for a party at the Cinder Block, a frequent party location. A decorative beach towel showing a raccoon on a surfboard provided the inspiration for the Surfn’ Raccoons name. An eclectic mix of influences from Chuck Berry, The Doors, Grateful Dead, The Rolling Stones, The Ramones, Tom Petty, Johnny Cash, Red Hot Chili Peppers and more.
There has been a dedication to our roots in the blues. The core of the band, Sammy on Vocals, Mike on Lead Guitar & Vocals and Jeff on Bass has stuck together through the years. The Surfin’ Raccoons have gained Pug on the Drums, Hippy on the Harmonica and Larry Bell on Rhythm Guitar, Vocals and is the Booking Manager and owner of Saltwater Gypsy Productions for the band.

Larry Bell is the heartbeat behind the scenes and on stage for the Surfin’ Raccoons. As Rhythm Guitarist, Vocalist, and Booking Manager, Larry keeps the groove tight, the harmonies strong, and the operation running smoothly.With a deep passion for live music and community connection, Larry is also the Owner of Belltech Productions LLC, which manages the band’s bookings and professional operations. His experience in business, production, and live entertainment ensures every show is organized, professional, and built for success — whether it’s a beach bar, festival, or private event.
Jeff CinottiBass
Vocals
Jeff Cinotti lays down the foundation of the Surfin’ Raccoons sound. With a strong sense of rhythm, groove, and musical instinct, Jeff’s bass playing keeps the band locked in and the crowd moving.A versatile musician and vocalist, Jeff brings both musical precision and stage presence, making him a key part of the band’s chemistry. Whether performing with the full band or the Surfin’ Raccoons Trio, Jeff’s playing anchors every performance.
Mike Riley

The Surfin’ Raccoons are a Florida-based rock and blues band with deep roots in live performance, crowd connection, and musical versatility. With over five years playing together as a core unit, the band has built a reputation as a go-to choice for festivals, headline events, private parties, and high-energy venues.
The Surfin’ Raccoons have opened for international and national recording artists including Molly Hatchet, Derek Stoner, and Jordan Davis, and have headlined major events such as the Bluffs Wine Walk, Rising Tide Music Festivals, the Valspar Golf Tournament, and large-scale community celebrations.
Whether performing for locals or visitors on vacation, the Surfin’ Raccoons bring music people can dance to, sing along with, and remember.
